A photography display and fundraiser
Artist Bio – Kathleen Gerber – Photographer/Geologist
Life is full of visual images and stories…you just must be present to observe them. I am a photographer that looks for these visual nuggets and thrives in weaving these images into photo essays. I flourish in travelling to different places, meeting new people, and cultures to create visual stories. Hence, I am yearning to a time that I can safely return to traveling internationally. This exhibit contains a collection of images from my trips to Mexico and Myanmar. Several of my photographs have been recognized in such prominent photo venues as National Geographic, Smithsonian, International Photography Awards, Women’s Street Photographers, etc. In addition, my images have been featured in exhibitions spanning the globe from Berlin, Barcelona, Russia, Buenos Aries as well as nationally in California, Vermont, Minnesota, New Mexico, etc.
All proceeds from this exhibit go towards development of the water supply system in Mozambique as well as other projects in Africa associated with African Millennium Foundation (AMF) with the focus on empowering “Women and Children.” African Millennium Foundation (AMF) – on Facebook or Website – http://1amf.org/
